How to make a spinning CD visualizer for your beat
A spinning CD visualizer shows your cover art on a disc that turns inside a case while your track plays. BMoney Visual Maker makes one in your browser for free: no account, nothing to install, and your files stay on your device.
Make one in six steps
- Upload your beat. Drop in a WAV or MP3. It is read in your browser and never uploaded.
- Choose a CD design. Industrial Chrome is a moulded plastic case (clear by default, with a smoked option), a steel hub and a ribbed side panel. Iridescent Blue has a reflective disc with a rainbow edge and a blue sticker you can type on. Minimal Matte is a plain frosted case with no sticker.
- Pick colours (optional). Change the disc, case and sticker colours, or keep each design's original look.
- Add artwork (optional). Use a JPG, PNG, animated GIF or short MP4 clip. It sits on the printable part of the disc and spins with it. Zoom, move and fade it under Advanced settings. Square images fit best.
- Set the spin. Choose a rotation speed, reverse the direction, or turn on React to beat so the disc speeds up with the low end of your track.
- Export. Pick MP4 for a video with your beat as audio, or GIF for a silent loop.
Getting a clean loop
At the default speed the disc takes four seconds to turn once, so a clip that is a whole number of four-second turns ends exactly where it began. Leave “Fit whole rotations so the clip loops cleanly” on for MP4 exports, or choose a GIF loop length that is a whole number of turns.
With animated artwork the artwork has its own cycle too. When the artwork cycle, the spin and the export length do not line up, the app says so and suggests a length that does. If they already line up, it stays quiet.
MP4 or GIF?
MP4 exports include your beat as audio and come in 1080×1080, 1920×1080 or 720×720. GIF exports are silent, use 720 or 480 pixel sizes and are limited to 256 colours per frame, so they suit short loops better than full tracks.
